History

Originally developed in 1989 by renowned Zurich architects Daniel Gerber & Xaver Naner together with the engineering firm Henauer Gugler, the Gallery was envisioned as a landmark project for a new generation of office architecture. Designed on behalf of the former Swiss Volksbank, the building was created as more than just a workplace – it was conceived as a vibrant urban environment that connects people, business, and community. With its distinctive architectural identity and forward-thinking concept, Gallery became a model for future large-scale developments.

Today, the time has come to bring new energy and a fresh vision to the building. Over the next two years, the Gallery will undergo a transformation into a next-generation innovation hub – reimagined for the needs of modern technology companies, startups and collaborative communities.

The transformation of the Gallery is designed to meet the demands of today’s innovation-driven world and the evolving expectations of modern work environments. The building is being redeveloped into a multi-purpose destination that combines flexible workspaces with testing environments, showcase areas, event spaces and hospitality-driven amenities. Beyond offices, the Gallery will offer integrated spaces for collaboration, prototyping, networking and community experiences – creating a new generation of workspace tailored to technology and entrepreneurial growth.
